'A Child is Missing.' 4Adam30's rabid police work, blindly combing LA neighborhoods for a missing child . . . the strategic inclusion of Detective Gomez in the episode, giving Hooker the contact he needs in Morales and his subsequent 'vacation' . . . the 'my way' bouncer sequence . . . the chilling and methodical march on David Burke as Hooker fires shots past his cringing body, because, 'I don't like your face.' For all these reasons . . . 'A Child is Missing.' "

"If you're not moved by Hooker's faux orgasmic reaction to the Killer's 'Whole Lotta Shakin' ', there's something wrong with you. But beyond the rockabilly pyrotechnics, the episode has an interesting commentary on the nature of ambition–contrasting the security guard's noble intention to elevate himself in his daughter's eyes with the detective's smarmy desire to move up the precinct ladder at any cost. Food for thought, no?"

"My favorite, as everyone well knows, is 'The Return'. So many things to love: The dream sequence. Hooker's sleepwear. The one-handed man. Elma Prentiss. Hooker's rants to Capt. Sheridan about why he traded in his 'gold shield for a set of blues and a black & white'. Hooker's lame-ass basketball shot. The crooked restaurant owner, his chase scene & subsequent capture. One word: 'Rockit'!! Hooker's walk down the beach at episode's end (in what surely must be a Members Only jacket). All these things and more!! It must be 'The Return'! Beautiful. Just beautiful."
