GUEST
STARS
Every good cop show exploits a few big-name stars in an attempt to attract
viewers, and T.J. Hooker is no exception. But along with
featuring established stars, the show also proved to be a hotbed of
emerging young talent. Below you'll find a selection of just some of
the many guest stars to grace the T.J. Hooker series.
Below
is a brand new page of guest stars for your perusing pleasure. You can

Marjoe. The name itself speaks volumes. This childhood evangelist (and
subject of the Oscar®-winning documentary Marjoe) broke with
his past of spiritual healing and miracles to play the heavy as a guest
star on several television series in the 1980s, most notably Matt
Huston and The A-Team, where he had a recurring role. Marjoe
guest starred in the T.J. Hooker episode "Slay
Ride," the perennial Christmas favorite in which he played
a man who traveled the United States robbing banks with his partner
Troy. Marjoe's animated line delivery and proto-mullet hairstyle make
him a standout in a long line of T.J. Hooker baddies. (Marjoe
also guest starred in the 5th season episode "Lag
Time" playing Jack Lewis.)

The de-crowned Miss America, model, singer and film star cut her acting
chops in one of the last episodes of T.J. Hooker, "Partners
in Death," playing Corrigan's new partner after Hooker splits
him up from Stacy because their budding romance has started to get in
the way of their job performance.

Former NFL great Jim Brown made two notable guest appearances on T.J.
Hooker; the first, as evil gambling club owner Barnett in the second-season
episode "Raw Deal"
stands out as his finest appearance on the show. Manipulating people
who have gambling problems, Barnett forces them to play poker at his
club and get themselves into so much debt they have no choice but to
deliver drugs for him. The action-packed finale includes Hooker and
Barnett dangling from a helicopter above the ocean--and only one of
them makes it back to shore. His appearance in the fourth-season "Anatomy
of a Killing" casts him as an old partner of Hooker's whose
daughter has turned to a life of drugs. Thrilling stuff, that.

Another fourth season veteran, Michelle Phillips (former '60s heartthrob
of the Mamas and Papas) portrayed Teri Sherman, an architect with plans
on Hooker's heart in the touching episode "Love
Story," in which Hooker risks it all to be by her side. Of
course, their romance only lasts one episode, as with all of Hooker's
dangerous liaisons.

All the way back in the very first episode of T.J. Hooker, "The
Protectors," veteran character actor David Hedison portrayed
Eric Saxon. You might recognize David from his stint on television's
Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea way back in the '60s (he played
Captain Lee B. Crane), or his appearances on the big screen as Felix
Leiter, friend to James Bond (the only actor every to play Leiter twice,
opposite both Roger Moore and Timothy Dalton).

Perennial '80s television favorite Traci Scoggins, primarily cast as
a deceptively intelligent yet beautiful love interest on many a television
show, got her chance to play the deceptively intelligent yet beautiful
Jill Newmark in the classic Hooker episode "Exercise
in Murder." Jill was a television aerobics instructor who dated
Jim Corrigan then dropped him like a ton of bricks when her drug-dealing
real boyfriend found out she'd gotten herself involved with a cop. Traci
went on to star in the smash hit syndicated series Babylon 5
and coincidentally enough, also starred in her own series of aerobics
videos.
