"The Two Faces of Betsy Morgan"
A teen-age prostitute (Jill Whitlow) is targeted by a pair of psychotic killers who know she can identify them in the murder of another girl.
While
cruising the boulevard, Joseph Rask and Les Fyker pick up teenage prostitutes
Betsy and Lori. When Fyker approaches Lori with a rope and gun, Rask
grabs for Betty, but loses control of the van and it flips on its side.
Witnessing the accident, Hooker and Romano arrive in enough time to
pull Betsy free. When they pull Lori free she is dead, not from the
accident, but from strangulation. The "Boulevard Strangler"
has hit again. All of the Strangler's victims are young runaways, so
Corrigan goes to the bus station to post notices. There he meets depot
supervisor Les Fyker. Meanwhile, Betsy fails to show up at the police
station as she promised. Hooker and Romano go to Lincoln High to meet
with Edie, a friend of Betsy's. Edie tells them Betsy has gone to the
bus station. When Hooker and Romano arrive, they see Fyker and Rask
chasing her. Rask runs into the street and is hit and killed by a car
but Fyker manages to escape without being identified. Later Fyker visits
Corrigan at the precinct. As he departs, he sees Stacy and Betsy and
follows them to Stacy's home. Through a series of tips, Hooker and Corrigan
realize Fyker is the Strangler and hurry to Stacy's apartment when Corrigan
remembers that Fyker was at the station when Stacy and Betsy were leaving.
They arrive to find Stacy tied up in a chair and Betsy down at the boat
docks fleeing from Fyker. Hooker finally overpowers Fyker and arrests
him.
