"The Obsession"

WHAT SAID:

Armed robbers take Stacy hostage, and one of the suspects has personal ties to the mayor.

SYNOPSIS:

While on patrol, Stacy and Corrigan investigate a suspicious looking vehicle parked in front of a check cashing outlet. They witness a robbery in progress and Corrigan calls for backup while Stacy bursts into the building to stop the two criminals from killing a man. Unaware there is a third felon, Stacy is held at gunpoint and taken hostage as the trio makes a successful getaway. The leader of the trio, David Huntman, confesses to Stacy that he comes from a wealthy family but refuses to ask them for money. In the meantime, the trio holds up another bank, but this time a security guard is killed. Hearing the tragic event, David's father contacts Hooker with the address of Marlene Stearns, David's girlfriend. Corrigan is staking out the house when the trio emerges with Stacy and depart ina van. Corrigan follows them to the Currency Exchange building which they are obviously going to rob. The police arrive and take Marlene and Charlie into custody, but David grabs Stacy and forces her up onto the roof. Hooker follows them up there and indicates to Stacy to duck, which she does, and David falls from the building having lost his balance.
