Hooker protects a retired mobster-turned-informant -- the latest target of a right-wing paramilitary group.

SYNOPSIS:

Ross Paterno, a retired Mafia member who has been working with the F.B.I. on exposing scams and frauds, is shot at while strolling in the park with his daughter Lynn. Hooker is asked to take over protecting Paterno and find the attempted murderer. After extensive research, Corrigan finds several cases with the same m.o. but no links to one another. Upon learning that her father was once involved with the mob, Lynn refuses to cooperate with the police. Hooker, on a hunch, checks out a group called teh "People For a Decent World" (PFDW). While Hooker is at their military camp, another attempt is made on Paterno's life and Lynn decides to help. When Hooker returns, he sees the composite made of the man and realizes it is one of the PFDW soldiers. Paterno is released from the hospital and insists on staying in his own home. They set up a complicated scheme involving the media to draw the PFDW to Paterno's home. The idea works and Hooker, Hooker, Corrigan, Stacy and police units apprehend the killers when they try to raid Paterno's home.
